Aubusson tapestries:
These go back six centuries. In 2009, UNESCO put Aubusson tapestries on the list of world intangible cultural heritage. (30 min. from the restaurant)

Carvings at the monastery of Moutier d’Ahun:
Near the site of ancient Acitodunum (Ahun), the monastery (“Moutier” in old French) was founded in 997. Superb carved woodwork, preserved in the church, is now the main item of interest. It has been classified as a historic monument since 1889. (10 min. from the restaurant)

Other sites worth a detour include: Wolf Park and giant maze at GUERET (30 min.), Vassivière Lake (1 hour), Vulcania, 100 km away (1 hour 30 min.), Futuroscope (1 hour 30 min.), the village of Masgot (15 min) and Villemonteix castle at Chenerailles (25 min.), to name but a few!
